Ski-Ride-Snowboard-New-Zealand-FAMILY-ski

New Zealand resorts and towns cater for the whole family. Whether there are beginners, intermediate or advanced skiers and riders in your group, you can be confident to find suitable activities.

On the mountain

All of the resorts offer different, dedicated family areas and kids’ programmes.

For the little ones, not quite ready yet to be on the slopes, you can find kindies, nurseries, early learning centres and more. Here your kids will be well looked after and will have the chance to enjoy fun games and activities and meet other little friends.

For the older ones you’ll have the choice of group and individual lessons, to be enjoyed on suitable terrain. New Zealand resorts all offer beginner slopes and some of them also installed magic carpets to make the learning experience a little more easy and a lot more fun.

There are also many school holiday camps and programmes your kids can join in on. Visit the resorts’ pages and websites to find out what’s on offer this year.

Packages and deals

Many of the resorts offer family passes, rental and accommodation combos and other deals designed for those holidaying with children. It’s always worth checking what offers and packages are available when planning your trip.

OFF THE MOUNTAIN

New Zealand is the perfect playground for all ages and South Island in particular has a lot to offer. There are many things to see and do on and off the slopes.

You can enjoy many other outdoor activities, with beautiful walks, hikes and biking trails in abundance. The breath-taking scenery of the South Island can be viewed from within and from above, as the area is famous for spectacular scenic flights, tours and cruises.

For those preferring indoor entertainment there are cinemas, bowling alleys, mini golf and nature encounters to be enjoyed. Many of the towns in the region offer their own, unique attractions and if you add to it hot pools and stargazing – you’ll be setting bar really high for all your next family holidays.

You can view all the relevant information through our regional pages, with many of the attractions being available for online pre-booking.
